S.E. QUEENSLAND REGION

The S.E. Queensland tenement group is located 20kms NW Monto, and approximately 110kms west of the port of Gladstone.

The S.E. Queensland region consists of 7 separate EPMs acquired at different stages of the project life. All EPMs have been granted, are current and are solely held by Aeon, except for EPMs 19029 which is a joint venture between Aeon Metals (60%) and SLW Minerals (40%).

Historical drilling in the Whitewash district has identified 5 distinct porphyry style alteration systems at Whitewash, Whitewash Southwest, Whitewash South, Gordons, and Windmill Hill, displaying moderate levels of Cu-Mo mineralisation with a large tonnage resource identified within the Whitewash cluster. Within the project area, historical exploration has identified two Porphyry style deposits which have JORC compliant resources;

  • Greater Whitewash – 242 Mt @ 0.11% Cu, 258 ppm Mo, 1.55 g/t Ag (an inferred resource at 425 ppm Mo eq. cut-off) and
  • Ben Hur (John Hill) – 62 Mt @ 0.30% Cu and 1.3 g/t Ag

Historical exploration focused on outcropping areas, largely ignoring areas overlain by the relatively shallow cover sequences of the Jurassic age Precipice Sandstone.

The potential to discover deposits beneath the cover is considered to be excellent, especially using available magnetic and gravity datasets,
